Of the 11 districts with defeated budgets in June, one adopted a contingency budget, while the other 10 chose to hold a re-vote. Voters approved seven of these budgets. <description><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #263238; background-color: #ffffff;">ASBO has released an analysis of the March 1 Tax Cap filings that shows most school districts are proposing budgets for 2020-21 that comply with the tax cap. Overall, the statewide maximum allowable levy increase is 2.95 percent and school districts are proposing a 2.69 levy increase. There are 13 school districts that indicated they plan on proposing overrides. Voters in each of these districts had failed to pass their 2018-19 budget proposals during the first budget vote in May.
