Did you know that ESSA is more than an accountability system? Do you know the difference between comprehensive support and improvement schools and targeted support and improvement schools? Do you have a CSI or TSI school in your district? What funding and requirements are there for CSI and TSI schools?
At their February meeting, the Regents discussed the public release of ESSA school and district accountability determinations that occurred in January. This release was required by Section 100.21 of the Commissioner’s Regulations and the State’s United States Department of Education Approved Every Student Succeeds Act Plan. The State Education Department presented to the Regents a plain language description of ESSA district & school accountability designations for school year 2018-19.
