Business Membership

Business Memberships are $500 per person per year.

On June 28, 2023, consistent with the Bylaws of the Association, the Board of Directors adopted an updated schedule of membership categories and dues beginning with the 2024-25 fiscal year. The schedule can be viewed here.

ASBO New York facilitates connections between Business Associates and School Business Professionals with services especially designed to serve the needs of all members and build a professional community.

  • The ASBO Annual Conference is an excellent opportunity for Business Associates to exhibit their company’s products and services, and meet school business professionals face to face at the tradeshow and at networking events throughout the conference.
  • Companies can sponsor multiple events to enhance their exposure and demonstrate their commitment to the ASBO professional community.
  • Classic methods of advertising for companies continue to be opportunities for additional exposure for Business Associates.
  • Business Associates can become a valuable resource for School Business Professionals by being the expert on specific areas. You can write article proposals for The Reporter, and submit proposals to present at workshops, conferences, or webinars. Articles must be approved for publication by the ASBO staff, and presentations must be approved by Rebecca Sheehan and the PD Committee.

Additional Opportunities for Business Associates

Business Associates play a role in assisting with providing professional development information to school business professionals. Providing such information may take various forms and may be done through different venues such as presentations or Reporter articles. ASBO New York reserves the right to make all determinations relative to these matters.

Presentations

  • ASBO may seek Business Associates to present or serve on panels at conferences or workshops.
  • ASBO can accept offers from Business Associates to provide workshops if it is deemed relevant to the membership.
  • The presentation cannot promote the company of the Business Associate.

All programming must be educational in nature with the potential for CPE or CTLE credit, as determined by the ASBO office. Presentations MAY NOT be sales related, specific to any particular company/organization, or disparaging to any other company/organization. Proposals submitted via this form will be reviewed by the ASBO office and by the appropriate planning committee. By submitting this form you agree to abide by ASBO's presentation rules, should your proposal be accepted.

Reporter Articles

  • ASBO will accept articles for the Reporter if they are relevant to the membership and they address appropriate topics.
  • Articles cannot promote the company of the Business Associate.
  • Any promotion of the business must be done through an advertisement.
  • The person writing the article and their company will be listed.
