Historical Budget Vote Analysis
Key drivers such as the Property Tax Cap and separate propositions can largely impact a voterâs decision to vote âyesâ or ânoâ on their school budget. Such factors can also impact the total voter turnout. If your district is planning to exceed the Tax Cap this year or include a controversial proposition (ie. borrowing for capital project) on this yearâs ballot, you may want to analyze the districtâs historical vote results. Such data can help determine the districtâs success rate of a budget passing by providing pass/fail rates in years where the district took similar risks. In addition, you can review voter turnout information to help predict what support you may anticipate from voters at the upcoming May Vote.
